Back to School Events
We hope that all of our Panthers are enjoying their summer vacation. At Bush Hill, we are busily preparing for the 2022-23 school year! We are currently finalizing our Back-to-School events and will be sharing those dates with families very soon.
School Supply Lists
Mr. Bhatti, our new School Based Technology Specialist, started working with us yesterday! Mr. Bhatti will be working to update the school supply lists on our website and we will send out an email as soon as it is ready to go.
Now Registering!
Ms. DePalma, our Registrar, is back from her summer vacation. She is ready to register new families and rising Kindergarteners! If you know of someone who has moved into our boundaries, please encourage them to call Ms. DePalma to make an appointment for registration right away. Job Opportunities with FCPS and Bush Hill
Classroom Monitors: Bush Hill is looking for several special people to serve as classroom monitors for the 2022-2023 school year! Pay is $15.73/hour. Monitors will work every day students attend throughout the 2022-2023 school year, and will directly support classrooms by providing teachers with additional planning time. Monitors will be responsible for supervising students. Teachers will provide directions/assignments for monitors and students to complete. This is a wonderful opportunity to support one school throughout the year, and monitors will experience all classroom environments (general education, special education, and specials classes such as art/music/PE). Substitute Teachers: FCPS and Bush Hill need substitute teachers and substitute instructional assistants. Substitute teaching is a great opportunity for stay-at-home parents, retirees, college students, and anyone who wants a flexible work schedule. Like many school districts across the region and country, FCPS is looking for kind and caring substitute teachers to ensure our students continue to thrive when teachers need to be out of the building. If you are interested in working as a substitute teacher or a substitute instructional assistant, you are able to set parameters for the days you are available, the grade levels you would like to teach, or the schools where you want to assist!
If you would like to learn more about becoming a substitute teacher or instructional assistant, FCPS is offering virtual information sessions. Sessions are held weekly on Wednesdays from 1-2 p.m. Candidates will receive an email link to the virtual information session the Monday before the session.
