Grade 6 Promotion Ceremony

We are looking forward to celebrating our sixth graders  on Thursday, June 9, at 9:45 a.m.

Please enter the school directly to the gym from the lower parking lot  at door 3.

Doors are open at 9:20 a.m.

Yearbooks for Sale

The yearbooks are in and they look fantastic! Kudos to the yearbook team for their hard work! 

Yearbooks will be distributed to students who pre-ordered on Wednesday, June 8. 

Any extra books will be sold in the office starting Thursday, June 9, first come, first served.  $15 cash or check payable to Sunrise Valley ES.    

Student Medication Pickup Information

  • PARENTS ONLY must pick-up all medications no later than 2 p.m. on June 10th.
  • Medications may also be picked up prior to June 10th during health room hours: 9:15-4:15 M-F
  • Medication left in the Health Room after 2:00 p.m. on June 10th cannot be saved and will be discarded according to FCPS and FCHD policy.
  • REMINDER: New medication authorization forms are required for each new school year. Forms can be found at: https://www.fcps.edu/registration/forms
  • If you have questions, you may call the Sunrise Valley Health Room and speak with Yara Natour, Health Aide, at 703-715-3810.

22-23 School Supply Kits

Orders Due THIS Friday, June 10th

Don't worry about getting ready for the next school year this summer when you order your school supplies through School Kidz, teacher tailored school supply kits.

To order school supply kits, go to www.shopttkits.com and enter the SVES account number 40241. 

Deadline to order is THIS FRIDAY June 10th. 

Kits will be delivered to the school and in the classrooms on the first day of school!  This is an optional service provided by the PTA and is not required; you may also purchase next year's supplies on your own and bring them the first day of school.

Calendar Reminder: Last Day of School Is June 10 and a 2 Hour Early Release

As a reminder, the last day of the 2021-22 school year is Friday, June 10, and students will be dismissed early at 2:05 p.m.

South Lakes High School Boys Basketball Camps

The South Lakes High School Boys Basketball Team is excited to offer two camps this year, one which starts in two weeks!

The Regular Boys Camp, 7-14 years old (2nd Graders to Rising 9th) runs from June 20-24 and July 26-30 9am-2pm.
