Congrats to Cappies Winner Logan Baker! Best Comedic Actor in a Male Role in a Play
 June 9, 2022
Dear Fairfax Families,
Schools out for summer!
While finding myself in the role of acting principal for the 2021-2022 school was a bit unexpected, I am nevertheless incredibly grateful to have been able to lead this amazing community of students, staff, and parents. I want to thank you for your support, patience, and kind words throughout the school year! I very much appreciated it! On Monday, June 11, I will return to my position as an assistant principal and Ms. Georgina Aye will become Fairfax High School’s new principal!
I wish you all the very best for the summer. May it be a safe, healthy, and happy one and whatever your plans are, may they be most enjoyable!
Best regards,
Maureen
P.S. Please see below for announcements, information and celebrations.
Cappies: On Monday, June 6th, the FX Players attended the Cappies at the Kennedy Center. The Cappies are a DC area high school theatre award event, much like the Tony Awards (but for high school). The FX Players were nominated for 6 awards, including a nomination for best play. Every school that is nominated for best play is invited to perform a scene at the event. Logan Baker won best comedic actor in a male role in a play.

Online Tutoring Services: FHS students will continue to have unlimited access to 24/7, on-demand, online tutoring support services through Tutor.com this summer. Students are able to use Tutor.com to review and/or practice in subject areas of interest or need. Students may also choose to access other tools such as practice quizzes in a variety of subject areas, as well as self-paced study courses for SAT and ACT preparation.
Details about how students can access Tutor.com through archived courses in Schoology are provided in Summer Access at Tutor.com - Online Tutoring Services. Students enrolled in summer Credit Recovery Academy, Online Campus, Online Economics and Personal Finance, and TJHSST summer courses will be able to access Tutor.com via their active summer course in Schoology.
Best,
Maureen

For the past two years, the federal government has provided no-cost meals to all public school students without the need to complete the annual Free and Reduced-Price Meal application.
