Haycock Hello 6.10.2022

parties

Dear Haycock Families,

It was a busy and fun last week of school for our students.  On Tuesday, we had the 6th grade volleyball game.  Sixth grade students played alongside staff members and the administrative team.  It was a great way to start out our last week.

Thanks to our generous Haycock PTA, all students enjoyed the Brain Show assembly on Wednesday.  It was fun for everyone, including our staff members.

On Thursday, we celebrated our 6th grade students.  Thanks to our 6th grade parents, our students enjoyed food, music, games, and more at the Haycock Boardwalk set up in the gym.

Finally, we celebrated the promotion of our 6th grade students this morning.  We wish them all the best as they head off to middle school.  We will miss them and are proud of their accomplishments.

For those families leaving Haycock this year, thank you for sharing your children with us.  We wish you all the best.

We hope that you and your family enjoy a wonderful, relaxing, and fun summer.  We reminded all students to make sure they read over summer break.  We'll look forward to seeing everyone in August.

With appreciation for your partnership,

Liz Beaty embeaty@fcps.edu

FCPS' Family Return to School Survey

FCPS is interested in hearing from parents/caregivers about how the 2021-22 school year has gone for students. You have an opportunity to provide your feedback on our Family Return to School Survey. Please check your email and text messages for the link. The deadline has been extended to Friday, June 17, at 8 p.m.

The survey is being administered by the FCPS Office of Research and Strategic Improvement, which provides objective research and data-based information back to the school division’s leadership. It is part of the office’s continuing evaluation of the pandemic’s impact on our school division.

The survey is available in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, Spanish, Korean, and Farsi, and takes about 15 minutes to complete. We encourage all FCPS parents/caregivers to participate and share their experiences whether positive or negative. The information families provide will be used, along with other data, to support FCPS’ efforts to make improvements that support schools, students, and staff, and for ESSER accountability reporting.

Preview Your Student’s Spring SOL Scores in SIS ParentVUE

Want to know how your student did on their spring SOL tests before the official report? Starting today, families can see SOL scores in the Test History section of SIS ParentVUE. To access Test History, log into your ParentVUE account using a web browser (not the app). You will see spring SOL test subjects, performance levels, and overall scores. Families will also receive an official SOL score report letter with more details by the end of July.

Additional information about SOL assessments is available online. You can also learn more about SIS ParentVUE and how to activate your account.
