Yearbook Orders

Pre-paid yearbooks were distributed to students today.  Please make sure that your child’s name is in their yearbook if they will be bringing it to school during the week.  We have a few additional ones for sale; the cost is $17 (exact change only or checks made payable to SEES).  To reserve one, send an email to Megan Brooks at mjbrooks@fcps.edu.

Bus Transportation Requests for 2022-2023

If your child will be using a bus stop next year other than the one assigned by FCPS transportation, you MUST complete the Exception to Ride TR52 form (click here and scroll to the link for the TR52 form). This includes children who go to SACC programs at other schools or who are using a stop other than the one automatically assigned by FCPS (such as for child care). These requests DO NOT roll over from year to year and must be renewed at the start of each school year. Once the next school year starts, Exception to Ride requests are not considered until October so it is important to start this process now. If you complete the attached form and send it back to school by Wednesday, June 8, we will ensure that the forms gets to FCPS Transportation this summer for consideration for next school year. If your child will be using the stop assigned automatically by FCPS, you do not need to complete this form.

Medication Pickup

All medication stored in the health room must be picked up by a parent/guardian no later than 2:05pm on June 10. Medication left in the health room after that time will be discarded. It is FCPS policy that medications must be picked up by an adult, preferably the parent or the guardian; it cannot be sent home with your student.

Student Placement for 2022-2023

As we work toward building classes for next year, we consider input from both staff and parents. If you would like to share information about the way your child learns or qualities in a teacher that you feel would help your student succeed, please complete this form by June 8, 2022. While we cannot honor requests for specific teachers, we do consider parents’ input about learning styles.

When completing the form, please follow these guidelines:

  • Share the qualities of a teacher and classroom environment that would best meet your child’s needs.
  • Let us know if you feel that your child should be separated from another student. We will take that request into consideration. Please remember that best friends do not necessarily belong in the same instructional group.
  • PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A TEACHER BY NAME OR GENDER.

Please note: Because of enrollment changes over the summer, class assignments will not be finalized until mid-August.

Special Message from Outgoing President – Tanya Clay House:

SEES Parents and Staff – Thank you for the opportunity to serve SEES as the PTA President for the past 2 years.  We somehow managed to continue some of our work during the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic, still hosting meetings, staff appreciations for staff and bus drivers, Virtual Bingo nights, Virtual Black History programs, professional development for staff, and even in-person programs in 2022 with younger classrooms. We still continued to support our graduating 6 graders as well as providing a special treat for ALL students at the end of the year.  While this has been a challenging 2 years dealing with the pandemic, the PTA continues to be ready to support SEES parents, staff and students with the help of volunteers throughout the year.  I will continue to stay involved and hope others will as well.  Thank you all!

If you are interested in joining the PTA and/or volunteering please contact our Treasurer Mike Buckner at seeptatreasurer@gmail.com.  We could use your help to make sure we get to have fun activities for our students and to continue to support our SEES staff!
