Calendar Updates

Monday, May 30 – Memorial Day Holiday – School Closed

Friday, June 10 – Last Day of School – 2 Hour Early Release at 12:15 pm


Laptop Return

Students will turn in their laptops and chargers on June 7th and 8th

June 7th – 8th Grade

June 8th – 7th Grade

  • Any personal stickers or other markings added by the student MUST be removed.
  • Clean the device to the best of your ability.  
  • Students who will not be here on June 7th or 8th should turn in their laptop to room 105 or the main office before June 7th.
  • Students will keep their case. Cases will NOT be provided next school year. 
  • Students attending an FCPS summer program may keep their laptops for that program. Laptops and chargers must be returned to the Twain main office on the last day of the summer program. 

Students are obligated to pay for charger or laptop that is lost or a laptop that is damaged beyond repair.

Replacement fee for lost computer equipment:

  • Dell 3310 Laptop Computer ($481.00)
  • Dell 3310 Charger ($23) 

Replacement fees can be paid either through:

  • MySchoolBucks - https://www.myschoolbucks.com/ Make sure you select the correct item in the Twain School Store. 
  • Check - Bring in a check to Twain’s Main Office made payable to “Twain Middle School”.  Write the Student ID# on the Memo line.

Hello High School

As a reminder, the Hello High School 8th grade field trip is Wednesday, June 8.  All 8th graders were given permission slips which must be signed and returned to their 4th period Learning Seminar teachers. If they need another copy, please send them to Student Services and one will be provided.  


PTA Updates

Summer Glow – 8th Grade Dance

The 8th Grade Dance is Friday, June 3 from 6 to 8 pm in Twain Cafeteria. Tickets are $1 and will be on sale June 1 to 3. All students who have purchased tickets should pick up their wrist bands on Friday.

8th Grade Students can submit playlist suggestions for the dance here. Your recommendations will be considered and may be used during the dance.

Parents

We need the following support from parents.

  1. We need volunteers to sell tickets during lunch periods from 10:30 am to 12:45 on June 1 to 3. Please sign up here.
  2. We still need several parents to help set up on June 3. If you are available any time after 2:30, we could use your help! There are also a few in-kind donations of soda and snacks that are still needed Please sign up here.

Thank you to all the parents who contributed money. We are able to fully fund the dance costs from your donations. We sincerely appreciate your generosity and support from so many parents! We are still accepting donations for the PTA. Funds will be used to support next year’s activities. Please contribute through MemberHub

Congratulations to the 2022-23 PTA Officers
