Dear Families and Staff:
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) is sharing this notification with staff and families for awareness only.
This letter is to inform you that as of this time, two COVID-19 positive cases have been reported today at Cameron Elementary School.
FCPS has directed all COVID-19 positive cases to complete their isolation period before returning to school, and our school remains open to other students and staff at this time.
As long as any other students and staff remain symptom-free, they may continue to come to school or work and no further action is required.
If students or staff develop COVID-like illness they should stay home. COVID-19 diagnostic testing for symptomatic students and staff is available at the Fairfax County Health Department (FCHD) or other community locations. For information regarding isolation and quarantine, please visit the FCHD website for guidance.
We all play a part in stopping the spread of COVID-19. Based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), COVID-19 vaccinations are effective at protecting people from getting seriously ill due to COVID-19.
