As a way to close out the year and say “THANK YOU” to ALL of our wonderful staff, the PTA puts on an Annual End of the Year Staff Raffle. All prizes are either donated by parents or purchased by the PTA.
The PTA will be collecting donations over the next few weeks. Please consider donating.

We are excited to have a new date for the Band and Strings concert. On Tuesday, May 24th from 10:15-11:00, our Band and Strings students, in grades 4-6, will have the opportunity to show off all their hard work!
For families of our band and strings students, you and one additional family member are invited to join, to see and hear all the wonderful things they have learned this year.
The concert will take place outside, on our field, to ensure social distancing. We encourage families to bring a blanket to sit on and enjoy the music.
For families who are unable to attend in-person, we will also be Live Streaming the concert.
It’s that time again - time to think about ordering school supplies for the 2022-23 school year! For those who may not be aware, School Kidz allows parents of students starting in Grades 1-6 to pre-order teacher approved supply lists. Your child’s supply box will be delivered directly to their classroom by PTA before school starts. Prices are comparable to what you pay in stores, and this saves you the hassle of supply shopping. It also helps support the Pine Spring community! (School starts on Monday, August 22, 2022.)
Paper order forms will be sent home with students. This year's due date for paper orders is Friday, June 3rd (no exceptions). Beginning Saturday, May 14th you also may order online at www.shopttkits.com. (Please note that you will need Pine Spring’s Account #: 40216.) Deadline for online orders is Friday, June 10. This year Pine Spring is lucky enough to have Children’s Science Center join us on May 31st for an evening of fun, discovery and interactive science learning! Your children will have an opportunity to different hands-on activities related to science, technology, engineering and math! Below are some of the exciting options your child can select.

This year we will host a concert for families with students in grades 1-6. We are only able to invite 2 guests per student to allow for enough space for everyone to safely enjoy the concert. Again, we will offer a virtual option for families who can not attend or have additional family and friends who would like to see the performance. Please note that we will ask families to come no more than 30 minutes before their child’s concert, and we will be clearing the gym of all guests between performances to allow for transition.

We are excited to come back together as a community to celebrate the end of a successful year with everyone’s favorite, Pine Spring BINGO. All families are welcome to join us, Friday night, for bingo with the PTA. Each child will get a free Bingo card. There will also be pizza available for purchase, along with additional Bingo cards.

Our kindergarten students have had a busy year, and we can’t wait to celebrate their hard work with a patriotic-themed concert and promotion event on June 9th from 1:00 PM-1:30 PM. As you know, COVID-19 cases have been increasing in Fairfax County and in schools. Here at Pine Spring we have seen an increase in cases and continue to encourage everyone to take the steps they feel necessary to stay safe and healthy.
We have been transparent about how the pandemic is impacting Pine Spring and our students all year. We will continue to share daily COVID-19 notifications whenever there is a confirmed positive case in our school. This information is provided to make our school community aware of the current situation and be able to make informed decisions about how to protect themselves.
I appreciate the patience, support, and understanding you have shown throughout this school year as we adjust our response to the pandemic. Together, we have kept our students participating in learning and activities. I look forward to celebrating the end of the school year with everyone.
