Dear Poplar Tree Families,
On Tuesday, May 17, incoming superintendent Michelle Reid, Ed.D. will join staff, families, and students for a multilingual virtual town hall, from 7 to 8 p.m. Register online.
Dr. Reid will be hosting additional engagement sessions throughout the county after her official start date on July 1. Stay informed about community engagement opportunities by visiting our website.

As we look ahead to the 2022-23 school year, we are asking for your input. We value our partnership between home and school and appreciate your thoughts on your child's learning needs.
If you feel that there is pertinent information to support your child’s success for the upcoming school year, please complete this optional Parent Input Form by Friday, May 20, 2022.
This system is not intended for families to request specific teachers. Requests for specific teachers will not be honored.

Spring SOL Testing Dates
Grade 6 Math: May 17
** students in the AAP program in grades 5 & 6 will take their advanced grade level math tests on the date listed for their current school grade level (e.g. Grade 5 Math AAP students will take the Grade 6 Math SOL on May 11th).

🎇Block Party🎇
We need you to help make the May 20th PTES Spring Block Party a success! Please volunteer your time or items for use during the party! We are also in need of student volunteers to lead games for service hours, particularly any high school soccer or basketball players to help coordinate games for the kids.

📚Book Swap - Donate some books you’ve read (K-6) to the bin in the school lobby and swap them for “new to you” books at the block party, in lieu of prizes. Just in time for summer reading!
👕Spirit Wear Re-Sale - Donate your unwanted spirit wear - any item, any size, any year, any condition - to the bin located in the front lobby of the school. The PTA will get the donated items ready for resale or repurposing and hold a pre-loved spirit wear sale at the block party!

All auction items will be on Bidding Owl starting Friday, May 20th through Sunday, May 22nd.
