Literacy Is For Tomorrow—Project LIFT at Aldrin Elementary

  • Our school-wide summer reading goal is to have each student read at least 6 books this summer.
  • Would you like your child to receive brand new books that he or she chooses?
  • Would you like your child to have these books sent to your home over the summer?
  • If so, Project LIFT might be what you are looking for!

The program cost is $40*.  This includes:

  • Six new books (your child gets to choose)
  • A shopping day in school to select books
  • Three books delivered on the last day of school
  • Three books mailed to your child in mid-summer
  • Summer reading celebration in September!

If you would like your child to participate, please fill out the following form and return it with your $40 payment (Cash, check to AES or www.MySchoolBucks.com) to your child’s teacher, or complete the Google form online.

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) utilize a third party check collection service, Checkredi Payment Services, to reduce the administrative burden planed on school personnel in managing returned checks.  A returned check fee will be charged to the check writer in addition to the face value of the check.  The Commonwealth of Virginia allows a returned check fee of up to $50.


Online payment for student fees will be available through MySchoolBucks.  This online payment service provides a quick and easy way to pay for school-related purchases. You will be able to pay for a variety of school fees using credit/debit cards or electronic checks.
