May 2-6, the PTO will be providing a breakfast, a lunch, a smoothie bar, snacks, and a special gift to every Terraset staff member! You can help by contributing to the Staff Appreciation Week Fund online.

Reading Night - Save the Date
Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. is Terraset’ s Cuddle Up and Read event. Come get your new, free books and learn how to help your child become a life-long reader. Beginning now, please send pictures to Mrs. Dueno of your Tiger reading, (the cuddlier the better) gently used magazines for kids and grownups, and gently used blankets all of which will be used at the event. Thank you!

2022 Terraset Spring Concert
We are excited to announce Terraset’s 2022 Spring Concert on Wednesday, June 1st, presented by the Terraset Orchestra and Terraset Tiger Chorus! This year’s concert will be presented in a “showcase” style. These staggered performances will minimize crowd size and accommodate for COVID safety protocols. We are very excited to share our performances with you this year. For many students, this will be their first in-person performance ever, and it comes after a very abnormal past two years of school. We are very proud of the work our students have done.
Schedule:
6:00 p.m.- All String students arrive in GYM.
6:30 p.m.- Strings Performance/Chorus students arrive in Cafeteria.
7:00 p.m.- String students dismissed/Chorus Performance.
*Students in Strings AND Chorus will need to arrive at 6:00pm.
4th, 5th and 6th Grade Strings: Will perform at 6:30pm in the TES GYM. All Strings students should arrive at 6:00pm to warm up and tune. As soon as the performance ends, string students who are also in Chorus will make their way to the cafeteria. String students NOT in chorus are free to leave, or stay to watch the Chorus.
5th and 6th Grade Tiger Chorus: Will perform at 7:00pm in the TES CAFETERIA. Students in Chorus, but not in Strings, should arrive at the cafeteria at 6:30pm for warm ups.
Note: Band will NOT be performing at the evening Spring Concert.
What should I bring?:
Uniform: All students should wear their black PTO Terraset Pride T-Shirt (from the Basketball Challenge), jeans and closed toe shoes.
Water bottles (water fountains are still closed)
Instruments & Music (strings)
What should I NOT bring?:
Phones, tablets or other electronic devices.
In-School Performance:
In the afternoon on Monday, May 23rd, 2022, the Terraset Band, Orchestra and Tiger Chorus will be performing for students and staff in the gymnasium. Please have your child wear the same uniform (black PTO Basketball Challenge shirt and jeans), and bring their instrument and music.
2022 – 2023 Band and Strings Registration
We are starting sign-ups for Band and Strings for the 2022 - 2023 school year! Please fill out this Google Form to participate. Forms are due by Friday, May 27th.
Pyramid Music Day
When: Saturday, May 14, 2022, 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Where: Langston Hughes MS
Join us for a FREE fun-filled musical morning with the LHMS pyramid bands, orchestras, and choirs. Our day will include sectionals, team building, and snacks! We welcome kids in grades 4 through 6 who will have the opportunity to meet and play with current and former LHMS & SLHS students, spend time with their current music classmates, and get to know their future music directors! Check-in and registration begins at 8:30am, the event officially kicks off at 9:00am and we'll share the joy of music until 12:00pm. Check out OUR FLYER to learn more! Register by April 30.

SLHS will be hosting a 5-day summer camp in June and a skills clinic in July. They’ll be a lot of fun and a great way for younger students to become involved with the high school. SLHS Summer Camp will be providing Before and After Care.

Save the Date for Outdoor Movie Night - Our Spring outdoor movie night will be hosted on the ballfield at Terraset on Friday, May 20th and will be *FREE* for all Terraset families. Stay tuned for more info in the coming weeks.
Support Terraset by Serving on the PTO Board - Serving on the Board of the PTO is a wonderful way to support our school and community in a deeper and more sustained way. The PTO Board positions are President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and At-Large Officer. You can nominate yourself or someone else by please sending the candidate's name and desired position to communications@terrasetpto.org. The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 6th, and we will vote in our May 10th general meeting.
Volunteers Needed for the Nominating Committee - We need 2 additional volunteers to serve on the nominating committee. Please email communications@terrasetpto.org if you're interested in helping.
Our Last PTO Meeting of the 21-22 School Year - Our last PTO meeting of the 21-22 school year will be Tuesday, May 10th at 7pm. At this meeting, we will conduct elections for next year's board and wrap up the year.
