Mason Crest Updates

Book Fair Header

Dear Families,

We are so excited to report that our Scholastic Book Fair is off to a great start. Thank you to all of our parent volunteers and staff for ensuring our students have the opportunity to have access to such wonderful books by helping to set up the event. We will have evening hours this week on Wednesday and Thursday evenings until 6:15 p.m. Please feel free to take advantage of these later hours to come with your child and help them select books.

We also want to invite our families to our Ice Cream Social on Thursday evening from 5:15-6:15 p.m. in the cafeteria. This will be a fun time for families and students to grab a treat and see their classmates while they shop for books.

Thank you for your support during our Read-a-Thon last month. Our amazing readers were able to raise over $15,000 for our PTO. We will utilize this money to help with scholarships, school supplies and field trips in the future.

Looking forward to a great 4th quarter of the school year,

Mr. Aiello, Mr. Pratt and Ms. Shin

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to our Advanced Academics Resource teacher, Karen Loar at ksloar@fcps.edu.

SOL Testing Calendar

We are quickly approaching our yearly Standards of Learning (SOL) testing season. As this is an important time for our students, we wanted to share the dates with you as early as possible. We ask that you please make every effort to have your child in attendance on the dates on which their grade level tests are scheduled. We will provide more information in the coming weeks, but you may contact either your child’s classroom teacher or Mr. Pratt (acpratt@fcps.edu) or Mr. Aiello (leaiello@fcps.edu) with any questions that you may have.
