Please remember that while students are in school, they should not use their devices to send or receive messages. Also, they should not be receiving audible alerts. Please check the settings on your child's device to make sure the notifications are turned off.

As we approach SOL testing, it is important to know that cell phones and other electronic devices that can photograph, record, transmit, or receive information will NOT be allowed in testing locations. During testing, students will have to turn off or silence their devices and store them in backpacks outside of the testing room. You may choose to have your child leave their device at home on testing days.

Call for Pictures

Parents of 6th graders -- we need your pictures!

For the annual 6th grade luncheon posters and slideshow, we need the following for your 6th grade child:

  1. Five digital photos of your 6th grader. These photos can be any pictures you like, showing your child through the years.
  2. Kindergarten Photos.  If your child was not at Lees Corner for Kindergarten, please send in a up close, front facing photo of your child aged 5-6.  A school photo would be ideal.
  3. Class Events, Musicals, Plays and Field Trips - Three Piggy Opera, Go Fish, Go West, field trips, etc.  Video clips are welcome too.

You can email these pictures to lces.2022.photos@gmail.com. Make sure the email subject has your child's full name. Please send these before April 29th.  Thank you!

SOL Testing Schedule

test

In May, our students in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 will take Standards of Learning (SOL) tests in the content areas of Reading and Math. In addition, 5th grade students take a Science test. The testing calendar is attached HERE for your reference.

A score of 400 or higher is a passing score. Students who come close to passing and receive a score between 375 and 399 may retake the test with parent permission. We encourage parents to discuss this option with their child(ren) prior to testing and to fill out the form below to let us know what option your family is choosing.
