Majors achieve and thrive together with purpose and pride!
Good Afternoon Major Families,
I hope you are enjoying your weekend! This month we are celebrating the rich diversity of our community to include Ramadan, Passover, Easter, Autism Awareness Month, and Month of the Military Child. We hope you all are enjoying these celebrations with your family.
As we wind down the school year, we are in the process of reflecting on what has gone well and opportunities for growth. It is important to us that we hear from you as we plan for the future. We will offer an opportunity for families to provide feedback in May, but we would like to begin to collect that feedback here.
As a follow up to our parent presentation on recognizing and preventing substance abuse, we have provided lessons during our advisory period (Major Time) for all students. We are also following up with 10th grade students during Health and PE to discuss the impact of substance abuse on the brain, addiction, and dispel myths associated with substance abuse. If you have not had an opportunity, I implore you to review the recording of the meeting facilitated by Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist here.
We are also celebrating wellness this month and hope you and your family engage in some of the self-care activities we’ve shared today and every day. We also celebrated our amazing administrators this week so please be sure to let them know how much you appreciate them.
With Major Pride,
Principal Rogers
