Save The Date!  Purple Up Day is TOMORROW, Wednesday, April 20th

April is the month of the Military Child, providing an opportunity to recognize and honor the service of Virginia’s youngest heroes; our military connected children. Help Kings Park ES recognize and support our military students  tomorrow, Wednesday, April 20th by wearing purple! Purple is the combination of Army Green, Marine Corps Red, and Air Force, Coast Guard, Navy and Space Force Blue.

Military Kids Honor Wall

Calling all military families! Help us to create a  Military Kids Honor Wall by sending in photos of past and present military members of your family for display at Kings Park. Pictures that include KP students are welcome!

Pictures can be sent by hard copy to Mrs. Shusterman (please note that pictures will not be returned) or can be sent electronically to rcshusterman@fcps.edu.

Class Placement Information

As we begin to plan for the 2022-2023 school year, we are inviting your input. Creating class assignments requires careful consideration and the involvement of many perspectives. We know a good teacher-student match and a productive mix of children are ingredients for success. Should you have additional information about your specific child that school staff may not know, particularly regarding learning style and classroom environment; we ask that you please complete the Google Form by Friday, May 6th. If you have more than one child attending KPES, please complete one form per child.

We ask that you do not request specific teachers or friendship pairings and keep the information shared about your child and the type of learning environment you feel would be the most productive for them. We assure you that with or without a form, each child’s strengths and needs are considered. As in the past, families will receive class placement notification just prior to school starting.
