Light the Night Campaign Starts THIS WEEK!
From April 11-April 29, our school will be participating in the Light the Night campaign, formerly known as Hero Squad and Pennies for Patients. Our school goal this year is to raise $7500. We are so excited to be able to raise money to help find a cure for Blood Cancer and to support the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. This year, our campaign will be 100% virtual. In order to donate, please do one of the following:
- Donate on our school’s online donation page at https://pages.lls.org/ltn/nca/NorthVA21/poplarelementaryschool
- Donate on your child’s classroom donation page. Check in with your child’s classroom teacher for more information and their specific link.
- We encourage you to share these links with family members, community members, and through social media to help us raise as much money as possible.
This year, we are doing a grade level competition at Poplar Tree. The grade level that donates the most money will have some brave teachers complete a dare voted on by students. So, help us raise money to see some of Poplar Tree’s teachers dump slime over their head, get turned into a human sundae, or maybe even get pied in the face!
