HORNET HAPPENINGS

April 1, 2022

Spring Break 04.01.22

Today marks the beginning of the month of April and of spring break. Whether you have plans for a quiet week at home or some time away, we hope your children enjoy family time and return to school refreshed and renewed for the final quarter of the school year.   We also encourage our hornets to read a little over break.  This can take on many different forms, including reading alone, reading with a partner, being read to, taking turns reading, and reading to someone. The goal is to enjoy the experience and to nurture a love for reading. Thank you for your support.

For your planning purposes, please keep in mind our office will be closed next week. Our next issue of Hornet Happenings will be sent on April 15th.

Blessings and Joy!

Mrs. Peerman, Principal

Mrs. Johnson-Tyler & Mrs. Zamora, Assistant Principals

Ramadan 04.01.22

This year, the first full day of Ramadan is April 3.

During the entire month of Ramadan, Muslims fast every day from dawn to sunset. It is meant to be a time of spiritual discipline—of deep contemplation of one's relationship with God, extra prayer, increased charity and generosity, and intense study of the Quran. This year, the first full day of Ramadan begins when school is not in session. It will last for 30 days. Please send a note to your child’s teacher to let us know if your child is participating in fasting or forgoing P.E.
