Woodburn News - April 1, 2022

4-1

Dear Woodburn Families,

It was wonderful to see so many families during our Book Bus event yesterday.  We hope your child enjoys their new book and that they take time to read over spring break.

It is hard to believe that we have reached the end of third quarter.  As always, there is much to be proud of when reflecting on the last nine weeks.  We hope you will celebrate and reflect as a family.  We invite you to use the following questions:

  • What are you most proud of?
  • What made you successful this past quarter?
  • What is a goal you have for the 4th quarter?

We wish you a wonderful spring break. See you on April 11!

Together We Grow,

Katy and Bridget

Gift cards can be brought to the main office.  Please put them in an envelope with your child's name as we want to extend our thanks to all who donate.  Thank you in advance.

Health & Safety Reminders

Vaccination Status

You may wish to voluntarily share your child’s COVID-19 vaccination information. However, we do not require your child’s vaccination information and no school employee will ask for your child’s vaccination status.

If you would like to provide us with your child’s vaccination status, please bring your child’s COVID-19 vaccination card or a photocopy of the card to Ms. Garcia, our student registrar in the main office.

Monitoring Your Child's Health

Please continue to you use the FCPS health screening questionnaire to monitor your child's health each day.  This will support our efforts to keep all students and staff as safe as possible. If your child has Covid-like symptoms at school, you will be asked to pick them up immediately.

Please use the health screening questionnaire to screen your child for Covid-19 symptoms before sending them to school each day.

Where to Find a Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccine

FCPS is encouraging all parents whose children are eligible to get vaccinated. We know that vaccination is the way out of this pandemic, and we are asking you to help us continue to make our schools as safe as they possibly can be.

The Fairfax County Health Department’s webpage has resources for finding and scheduling a vaccine appointment. Up-to-date information about vaccination opportunities is available on the FCPS website.
