Middle Years Programme
Over the last several weeks we shared our IB MYP policies. These policies show what we honor and believe codify the culture of our schools. In the MYP all students receive instruction via the IB framework. Our fifth and final policy is Assessment.

Assessment Policy
Ramadan
This year, Ramadan will be observed from the beginning of April to the beginning of May. We have many students at Twain who will be fasting and some may prefer to not spend their lunch period in the cafeteria. During this month of Ramadan, Twain Staff members will host any student who is fasting and looking for an alternative location during their lunch. Any student interested in an alternative location for lunch should report to Student Services at the beginning of their lunch period (instead of the cafeteria) where they will find the location of the classroom they can report to.
PTA Updates
Attend Tiger Night
Join us for Tiger Night next Friday, March 25 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. There will be food trucks, socializing with friends, games, music and spirit wear on sale. This event is intended for Twain students (including rising 7th graders) and their families. Look for information on pre-ordering food next week.

We need volunteers to help with variety of tasks. It’s a great way to get to know other parents. Sign up here.
Staff of the Month
Nominate someone you think is deserving! As a reminder, each month, the administration and the PTA jointly recognize an outstanding teacher or staff member at Twain. The honoree receives an awesome certificate, a $25 gift card and an amazing parking spot close to the building. It’s just a small way to say thank you to our fantastic teachers and staff members who go that extra mile!

Next PTA Meeting
Join us for our next PTA meeting on March 29, from 7 to 8 pm via Zoom. All 2021-22 PTA members (i.e., those who have paid dues) will automatically receive the Zoom link for all PTA meetings. If you are not a current PTA member, email mtmspresident@gmail.com for the link by 6 pm March 29. Parents of rising 7th graders are welcome.
2022-23 PTA Officers
The current executive of PTA officers will NOT be returning next year. We need volunteers to take on the following positions:
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Volunteer Coordinator
