Please fill out the information here if you are a military family so we can be sure to include your child.

Safe traffic guidance

SEES Street Traffic

While the following guidance applies to all traffic near SEES, we are specifically concerned about the traffic violations happening near our playground on Meriwether Lane.

For the safety of our students:

  • Do not let children out of the car in the middle of the street.
  • Do not double park or make multi-point turns in the roadway.
  • Do not block driveways. Parking is not allowed within 10 feet of driveways.
  • Do not block fire hydrants.  Parking is prohibited within 15 feet of a fire hydrant.

Thank you for helping us to keep our students safe, reduce traffic congestion around our school, and be respectful of our neighborhood!

From our Family Liaison

The Family Engagement Survey was sent to your email the afternoon of Sunday, March 13. Please participate—your feedback is critical in helping to inform and improve FCPS’ practices to best support our students.

Taking this survey will also help strengthen the partnership between your family and your school. When that partnership is strong, students can experience a range of benefits including improved school readiness, higher student achievement, and better social skills and behavior.  If you need assistance filling out the form, please contact our family liaison, Salima Intidame, at sintidame@fcps.edu.

From Our PTA

In Search of Two People to Serve on the Nominating Committee

As part of the election process for officers for 2022-2023, our bylaws require that a Nominating Committee by formed. You do not need to find the candidates yourself, but act as a conduit through which the names are submitted to the PTA membership for election; you’ll provide an email address through which people can contact you if they are interested in serving on the board.  If you can help by serving on the Nominating Committee, please contact Tanya House at seesptapresident@gmail.com by March 28.

Art to Remember has been extended until March 25 - have your child’s artwork placed on gifts!

Flyers were sent home with special paper. However, if you need paper, you can get more at school or use a regular piece of printer paper.  Have your child create their own artwork and the PTA will have it put onto different items, mugs, special picture frames, oven mitts, etc. for you to purchase for Mother's Day or Father’s Day! A great gift for your loved ones. For any questions – contact PTA Vice President – Ashley Doss at vicepresidentseespta@gmail.com.
