The email will be sent to their school email address and will be coming from Naviance with a subject titled: Student Survey Pathways Study. Participation in the survey is optional. In addition, our middle and high school parents will have an opportunity to provide feedback. More information will follow soon.

8. Recent Student Successes
This is the next installment for the school year of what has become a weekly segment aimed at recognizing students for demonstrating recent improvement or achievement in academics, behavior or citizenship. At the end of each recognition, you will see the name of the nominating teacher or staff member. On a rotating basis, departments will nominate students. I meet with recognized students each week to congratulate them in person.

Jacob Conte has been rock solid all year in terms of expressing himself via his writing. He has so many insights and ideas that are mature and reasoned, and his willingness to revise and edit with others has helped those aforementioned insights and critical thinking flourish in our English 12 class. Mr. Bobby Nelson
-
Maya Dulnev jumped right into writing in Newspaper and has done a great job. She finds creative ideas, writes interesting articles, and always meets her deadlines. I am excited for her to graduate but wished The Purple Tide had found her earlier because she is such a valuable staff member. Ms. Kristine Brown
-
Kyle Francisco works hard on every assignment and uses feedback to improve his work and habits. Ms. Rachael Jamil
-
Katelyn Garback transferred to CHS in February. Despite this new challenge, she has demonstrated great resilience and maturity in English class. She produced a near-flawless research paper that advocated for reform in the United States' educational system for the sake of college students' mental health. Mr. Luc Nguyen
-
Andrew Krajic has shown this year a true commitment to improving his thinking and writing skills in English 9H/World Civilizations I. He focuses his attention on each lesson, asks questions, seeks help when needed, and works to make new mistakes rather than repeat old ones. He is also exceedingly helpful and kind to others. Ms. Kimberly Scott
-
Ryan Lavigne has been such a hardworking student this year. He has been extremely helpful to his peers and his teachers, especially when he helped Mr. Hickerson with the talent show. Ms. Danielle Simpson
- Hard-working, intellectually curious, and supportive of her fellow classmates, Zoe Rosas is one impressive human! I appreciate her "can do" attitude and indomitable strength of character, as she continues to work hard with a ready smile and positive attitude. Zoe, I am so lucky to have you in my class! You inspire me every day! Ms. Deb Wydra
- From the first day of school, Anya Saffari has embraced every assignment with attention and passion. Anya consistently writes detailed, cogent analyses of debate resolutions and policy presentations. In addition, Anya often volunteers to step up to the plate to help her classmates research a topic or present a speech. Anya truly is a joy to teach. Ms. Barbara Clougherty
- We are so proud of your transition to CHS, Tyaunna (Ty) Smith! You have jumped right into your Innovation & Progress project, working so diligently to research and write. Thank you for your energy and effort! Ms. Nikki Lehman and Kristen Dreyer

Rakshitha Thanasekaran is one of the most conscientious AP Lang students I have ever had the pleasure to teach. That focus and commitment paid dividends during our recent Socratic Seminar. Rakshitha repeatedly moved the conversation forward, into new (and fascinating) directions of inquiry, and consistently demonstrated her sophisticated awareness of how Douglass developed his arguments over the course of his narrative, given the rhetorical situation in which he wrote. Ms. Lara Shackford
