Don’t Forget to Spring Forward!

Spring Forward image with cherry blossoms.

This Sunday, March 13, at 2 a.m., daylight saving time begins. Don’t forget to move your clocks ahead one hour! As a result of the time change, many students will be walking to school or to bus stops in the dark.

Help your child stay safe by having him or her wear reflective clothing and bright or light colors, or add reflective items to their backpacks or clothes. Also, encourage your child to be especially alert for cars that are turning or backing up and not to run or dart into the street or cross between parked cars.

Nominate a Soaring Eagle!

Soaring Eagles nominations are now open...Be sure to nominate a teacher or staff member that has gone above and beyond this month!

Congratulations to February Soaring Eagle, Mrs. Cathleen Fleitz!

Attention 3rd & 4th Grade Families: RSVP for Math Night on March 14th!

Math Night RSVP & Volunteers Sign Up

On Monday, March 14, the PTA will host Math Night for our 3rd and 4th grade students, in partnership with Mathnasium. This free in-person event will start at 6 p.m. and take place in the school cafeteria. Math Night will give our students and parents the opportunity to engage in math activities, using fun learning experiences and games. These experiences inspire students’ interest in math, help them understand master math concepts, promote STEM literacy, and empower families to support their children’s success in math.

We are looking for parent volunteers to help make this night happen! If you are interested in assisting, please reach out to Dave at vpenrichment@clermontpta.org

If your 3rd or 4th grader plans to attend our first Math Night, please be sure to RSVP through the link below!

Family Engagement Survey 2021 – 2022

On Sunday, March 13, in the afternoon, you will receive an email from Fairfax County Public Schools via K12 Insight regarding FCPS’ Family Engagement Survey. Your feedback is critical in helping to inform and improve our practices to best support our students.

Taking this survey will also help strengthen the partnership between your family and your school. When that partnership is strong, students can experience a range of benefits including improved school readiness, higher student achievement, and better social skills and behavior.

FCPS is partnering with independent firm K12 Insight to administer the survey, and it will be available in eight languages. For more information, please watch this short video from Superintendent Brabrand and visit the Family Engagement Survey webpage. Your voice matters!
