Career Pathways Study: Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) has partnered with FourPoint Education Partners, a national consultancy based in Maryland, to assess our current pathway elective courses and career pathway programs. Our middle and high school students will be receiving an email inviting them to participate in a brief survey. The email will be sent to their school email address and will be coming from Naviance with a subject titled: Student Survey Pathways Study. Participation in the survey is optional. Students will have the opportunity to complete this survey during Panther Time in the coming weeks.
In addition, our middle and high school parents will have an opportunity to provide feedback. More information will follow soon.

Lost or Damaged Laptops and Chargers: The FCPS laptop is issued to you for the entire school year and students are expected to use it only for school work under the direction of their teachers. Students should not use it for personal activities. This includes checking social media, emailing friends, or playing games. FCPS monitors the use of its laptops so you should not expect privacy or confidentiality even when using it for school related work.
Here are some quick device care tips to ensure it works properly and avoid negligent damage:
- Shutdown and restart a couple times a week
- Keep laptop in a safe and secure place
- Avoid eating or drinking near device
- NEVER carry the laptop by the screen
- Charge laptop each night to have a full battery each school day
- No unauthorized downloads, including but not limited to: social media or video games
- See more Laptop Care instructions here
Students are responsible for anything that happens to their device and should not share laptops between students. If another student were to use the computer and damage it, you are still responsible for paying for a new one. Devices damaged beyond normal wear and tear require a $481 for a replacement device. Significant, purposeful damage may also result in disciplinary consequences. The full replacement fee for lost computer equipment: Dell 3310 Laptop Computer ($481.00) and Dell 3310 Charger ($23). We need to take care of our FCPS devices. These devices are tools to help us learn and communicate in ways we ordinarily couldn’t, and in using the FCPS device we are accepting responsibility for its care and function. If there is a functional issue with the device, take it to Glasgow’s technology office in B135 for service immediately.
Celebrating 2nd Quarter Honor Roll: We are proud of the hard work students have been doing so far this year in all of their classes and we look forward to celebrating students who have earned either All A or A/B Honor Roll. All A and A/B Honor Roll Certificates will be handed out in Panther Time on March 2nd. Please congratulate students on all of their hard work!

YEARBOOK PICTURES NEEDED: Attention Glasgow Community. The Yearbook crew could really use your help. We are in desperate need of photos for the yearbook. It is our goal to represent EVERY single student from Glasgow in our book, The Pride. We are lacking a great number of people and student populations. We would absolutely love more candid pictures, of students having fun and being themselves. Examples of this could be sporting events, competitions, friends playing in the back yard or at a get together. If you can snag some pictures of your student AND their friends without masks, that is even better. Please take some pictures of your students and submit them using this form. Please be sure to include your email, names of students, and what is happening in the pictures to ensure accuracy. Thank you so very much for your help. If you have any questions, please email our yearbook adviser, Rushel Grillo: rngrillo1@fcps.edu. Thank you.
