Read Across America

Read Across America 2022

Read Across America is the nation’s largest celebration of reading. At Mosaic Elementary, we will be celebrating February 28 through March 4 with a week of fun dress out days! We would love to see our Mustangs join in the fun by dressing to match each day's theme.

Monday, 2/28 - Sports Day! Dress like an athlete or wear your favorite team's colors. Read a book with a sports theme!

Tuesday, 3/1 - Silly Mismatch Day! Wear a silly outfit that doesn't match. Enjoy a silly story in a silly outfit!

Wednesday, 3/2 - Pajama Day! Read a favorite story in your favorite PJs (no slippers, please)!

Thursday, 3/3 - Storybook Character Day! Dress like a character from a favorite story.

Friday, 3/4 - Read At Home Day! NO SCHOOL TODAY. Get comfortable at home with a good book!

Share Your Story

Our March 15 PTA meeting will feature a discussion panel of several Mosaic parents who grew up in countries outside the United States and will share their experiences navigating the American public school system with their children. If you grew up in another country, we would love to include you in the discussion panel, or just learn about your experiences if you'd rather write them down, record them on video, or share in another way (even anonymously). Please email us at community@mosaicespta.org.

Digital Citizenship Tips and Advice for Families

Parenting in the Digital Age

Parents and caregivers are looking for resources and advice on all things media and technology. This playlist includes four videos addressing many frequently asked questions.

  • What are ways I can set boundaries and support my kids in their tech lives?
  • How can we ensure our kids are having high quality experiences?
  • I don’t know anything about social media or the apps my kid is on. What do I need to know to keep them safe?
  • I’m worried that my kids will use social media inappropriately. And what are these “challenges”?

In addition, these Parent’s Ultimate Guides (guides to TikTok, Fortnite, Instagram, and more) are also helpful.

3rd graders work on building contractions.

Mosaics contraction doctors received the Patients Choice Award 🥇 for being 100% successful in their surgeries. They combined two words with a bandage (’) to make them into one.
