DATES TO REMEMBER

  • February 21, No School, President’s Day

SGA Sponsored Spirit Week

Monday: Valentine’s Day – wear red, white and pink

Tuesday: Disney Day – Wear your favorite Disney wear

Wednesday: Anything but a Backpack Day – I think the kids are real excited about this one. Bring anything but your backpack (if a student brings in something larger than a backpack, they will have to leave3 it in the main office so it doesn’t become a distraction the rest of the day)

Thursday: Blanket and Comfy Day – Wear your comfy clothes/pajamas, bring blankets

Friday: Crocs and Socks Day – Wear your favorite crocs and/or socks

food delivery

Food Delivery Services

As a continuation from last school year, FCPS is providing FREE breakfast and lunch every day for students.

Please do not send food to the main office via delivery services (Door Dash, Grub Hub, etc). Additionally, please talk to your student about NOT ordering food themselves. When these services arrive, the main office will not give the food to the students and will dispose of the food. These deliveries are causing a major disruption to the learning environment.

If you want to drop off food for your student, the student will eat it in the main office. We are implementing this because students bringing lunch into the cafeteria causes a disruption to lunch period.

drop off

Drop Off Procedures

There have been some instances with cars dropping off students making a U-turn in front of the school.  If you need to turn around, make sure to go all the way down to the circle and turn around instead of trying to do a u-turn in the middle of the street.

electronic devices

SCMS Electronic Device Policy REMINDER:

Students are expected to follow the electronic device policy which includes zones for use. This policy is in effect from when students enter the building to when they leave for the day. Students may not access their cell phones or headphones/earbuds during instructional time within classrooms or the library unless explicitly permitted to do so by the classroom teacher.  Cell phones may not be used in the hallways or restrooms.  Students may responsibly use their cell phones and headphones/earbuds at lunch in the cafeteria and during middle school break.
