Hello Fairhill Families-

We are off to a great first full week of February! As we walk around the halls we hear our youngest learners reading independently and our oldest students buzzing about class selection for middle school next year. Early spring is such a special time in an elementary school because all of our students' hard work in the fall is paying off.

We hope to see you all at the Town Hall on Thursday at 5:30 PM followed by our PTA meeting at 6:30 PM. A ZOOM link will be sent out on Thursday to access. Even if you just join by phone, we would love to have our families there.

Take good care,

Ted & Courtney

There are two options for shipping/delivery.

1.  FREE SHIPPING OPTION:  If you order by Friday, February 11, you can pick up your order at Fairhill on Saturday, February 26 (exact time will be communicated closer to the date--backup date/option will be available).  If you choose this option, the order deadline is Friday, February 11.  We may offer another FREE school pick up in the spring.

Fairfax County School Board Approves Calendar Based on Data and Community Input

The Fairfax County School Board voted to adopt a calendar for the 2022-23 school year that focuses on instruction, and student and operational needs. Additionally, the calendar is aligned with neighboring school districts and adds additional key observance days.  Click here for more information.

FCPS Policy on Masks

FCPS continues to require universal mask wearing in alignment with CDC guidance. Our layered prevention strategies have proven effective in keeping transmission rates low in our schools. We know our students are best served by in-person instruction. Adhering to our layered prevention strategies, especially universal masking, keeps our schools open and safe places for students to learn.

FCPS is reviewing Governor Youngkin’s executive order issued this weekend. As we have throughout the pandemic, we will continue to share any updated information with you around FCPS COVID-19 practices and protocols as needed. You can review current health and safety guidelines on our website.
