IB Information Night for Families of Rising 11th Graders

The International Baccalaureate program at Robinson is a program of studies that is highly engaging, rigorous and asks students to be at the heart of the learning. Students will learn not only how to understand complex information and skills, but also how those skills and content apply to the larger world.

The Robinson IB Coordinators for the IB Diploma Program (grades 11 and 12) will be presenting information about the program on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022, at 7PM. Due to the high Covid case numbers and FCPS directives, this event is a synchronous, virtual event. This is not an in person event. The link to join has been sent to all families via the E Notify system (email).

During the session, IB Coordinators will be sharing information about the IB courses available to 11th and 12th graders as well as the IB Diploma requirements. All meeting materials as well as a recording of the session will be posted on the Robinson website the day after the presentation. A number of resources about the IB program at Robinson can be found at https://robinsonss.fcps.edu/academics/high-school/ib-diploma-program

If you have any questions about this event or the IB Diploma Program at Robinson, please contact Holly Cho (htcho@fcps.edu or Wendy Vu (wmvu@fcps.edu).

Academic Advising Timeline

School Counselors are excited to have the opportunity to meet individually this year! Please note that students will be meeting one on one with their Counselor and will NOT need to reach out directly to schedule a time to meet. The schedule for each grade level is shown below. If students have taken a course like HPE over the summer or are not currently enrolled in the course (not to worry) Counselors will still find time to meet with students during that scheduled time frame.

Rising 12 Academic Advising: January 25th—February 4th through English

Rising 11 Academic Advising: February 7th—February 18th through HPE 10

Rising 10 Academic Advising: February 22nd—March 3  through HPE 9

Note: Students may make changes to their course selections until March 11th – after this date, course request changes will only be made on a space-available basis. If students wish to be registered for a “closed” course after March 11th, they will be placed on a waitlist. All requests for changes to course selections must be made before June 10th, 2022.
