Thank you LRES community for the warm welcome as I have assumed the Acting Assistant Principal position. I feel so lucky to be part of this wonderful school and community!
Our first virtual learning day was a success! Thank you to the staff and families for supporting our students and ensuring they had everything they needed to be successful online.
Remember tomorrow, January 21st, and Monday, January 24th, are student holidays as teachers finalize end of quarter grades and progress reports.
Enjoy another long weekend! -Mrs. Goss
Positivity Project: Other People Mindset- Supporting Others when they Struggle
Supporting other people when they struggle is a critical piece of being human. There are many different approaches to helping people who are struggling. These can include: listening while they describe an event and their feelings about it, taking action to help people in need, or simply just being there and sitting together in silence. Everyone faces tough days and needs support, and this support leads to a chain of prosocial behavior that makes us feel good about ourselves and our group.
