Preparing for Potential Weather Related Virtual Days
In an effort to ensure all students are prepared for a possible need to switch to virtual learning due to inclement weather, FCPS has created a Student Technology Readiness Checklist. We will be encouraging students to take everything they will need with them to and from school daily, just in case. Last week, teachers had students practice finding and logging into Zoom. We will continue to remind students if we see a possibility of inclement weather.
Should your family need assistance with internet access, MiFi devices are available. Please notify your child’s school counselor as soon as possible so we can request the device.
If FCPS makes a decision to switch to virtual due to weather, families will receive an email and text message from Irving MS regarding the start times for classes as well as what classes will be meeting.
