Dear Bonnie Brae School Community,
We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their support and flexibility during our first virtual snow day yesterday. Student attendance exceeded our expectations and we recognize this is a result of the partnership between Bonnie Brae and our families. For the time being, we will continue to have students take home their laptops home daily in the event of weather or if they are out of school for another reason. As a reminder, Monday is a staff development day for our staff and no school for students. We look forward to welcoming back students on Tuesday, January 25th.
Sincerely,
Morgan Birge, Principal
Elaine Woo, Assistant Principal
Scott Hawk, Assistant Principal

COVID Weekly Update
Every week, we will provide an update on our COVID-19 status to keep you informed. In cooperation with the Fairfax County Health Department we have identified more than one student at Bonnie Brae who has reported testing positive for COVID-19 during the week of January 10 – January 14.
FCPS also maintains a Covid-19 dashboard that is updated daily with cases from the school and division level. Parents interested in following specific numbers at Bonnie Brae can refer to the COVID-19 Dashboard on the FCPS website to keep you informed and aware throughout the week. If you have any questions about how we are staying safe so we can keep learning in person, please contact the BBES office at 703-321-3900.
We all play a part in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Advanced Academic Services in Middle School
AAP services in middle school look a little different than in elementary school. Middle school students may receive services in IB Middle Years Programs, Honors courses, and full-time Advanced Academic services. Please review this document to see how services are provided in middle school and beyond.
