FCPS Return to School

FCPS Health & Safety Guidance Document

REMINDER: FCPS policy on masks

As we return to school after the holiday weekend, we want to let you know that FCPS will continue universal masking for all students and staff.

FCPS continues to require universal mask wearing in alignment with CDC guidance. Our layered prevention strategies have proven effective in keeping transmission rates low in our schools. We know our students are best served by in-person instruction. Adhering to our layered prevention strategies, especially universal masking, keeps our schools open and safe places for students to learn.

FCPS is reviewing Governor Youngkin’s executive order issued this past weekend. As we have throughout the pandemic, we will continue to share any updated information with you around FCPS COVID-19 practices and protocols as needed. You can review current health and safety guidelines on our website

REMINDER: Student Drop-off/Pickup (Kiss & Ride)

Door #4 Only Please

Dear Jaguar Families,

On Monday, November 8th we opened our new and improved Student Drop-off/Pickup (Kiss & Ride) location at Door #4 at Falls Church High School! As a reminder, the map is included below which details the entrance at the intersection of Holly Hill Drive and Jacks Lane.  Cars will enter as shown, loop around the parking lot, and drop off their students at Door #4. Cars will exit the same way they entered.

As a reminder, the former Student Drop-off/Pickup (Kiss & Ride) location will now only be accessed by buses and Falls Church High School staff.  Additionally, Door #8 may only be accessed by buses and Falls Church High School staff.

We still have families attempting to drop off students at the Main entrance and at Door #8 which creates a safety issue for our students that are walking, crossing the street, and trying to access the sidewalks.  Additionally, the cars create a back up at Door #8 for our 7 buses that access the back of the building.

Remember, the new Student Drop-off/Pickup (Kiss & Ride) location at Door #4 will serve as our primary location throughout the renovation process!

Thank you again for your support with this necessary change!
