Library News

We were happy to see students this first week of the New Year.  Many students were great about returning some overdue books after the longer-than-usual break.  Students may always check to see what they have checked out by logging into the library’s catalog system.  The easiest way to access this on any computer is to go from fcps.edu / Choose “Library” / Select Library Catalog / Select “Irving Middle School.”  Students will then be prompted to log in with their FCPS credentials (the same username and password they use to access Google and Schoology, etc.)

We hope to hear what you read on our next batch of snow days!

New Devices?

It’s a popular time of year for families to introduce new devices to their homes...new phones, gaming consoles, laptops, etc. As new devices are introduced, it might be a good time to introduce, or update, family device contracts. Here is a customizable device contract to get you started! Additionally, here is an optional Digital Citizenship Parent Resource Webinar available for families, just in time to think about any new holiday purchases: Introducing New Devices to your Child
