Rising 9th Grade Academic Advising- Lewis High School
School counselors from Lewis High School will be at Twain on Friday, January 7, to present to rising 9th graders during Learning Seminar. Students will receive invitations the beginning of the week we return from Winter Break. During this information session, students will learn about 9th grade course selection, graduation requirements, and other pertinent transition information directly from Lewis HS counselors. They will also bring home a course guide and course selection sheet for you to review. While this is an event for students and will be held during the school day, Lewis will hold their Rising 9th Grade Curriculum Night for families on January 13 at Lewis High School. Please contact Lewis Student Services or visit the Lewis High School website https://lewishs.fcps.edu/ for more information regarding that event. Thank You!
Thank you to all parents who provide supported our teachers and staff by bringing in donations for the staff appreciation lunch and giving money toward gift cards. Because of your tremendous generosity, we were able to give every member of the Twain staff a $10 gift card.

Laptop Care
During Winter Break
During winter break make sure your laptop is kept in a safe and secure location. Before returning to school in January make sure you have restarted it a few times and it is fully charged.
Lost Laptops and Chargers
When students lose an FCPS provided laptop or charger they are responsible for replacing them.
Replacement fee for lost computer equipment:
- Dell 3310 Laptop Computer ($472.00)
- Dell 3310 Charger ($23)
Replacement charges can be paid either through:
- MySchoolBucks - https://www.myschoolbucks.com/
- Check - Bring in a check to Twain’s Main Office made payable to “Twain Middle School”. Write the Student ID# on the Memo line.
Once a student pays the replacement fee, we will provide them a new charger or laptop. Please do not purchase a replacement charger through outside stores or vendors.
We will not be providing replacement cases when students lose their case. You can purchase affordable cases through different retail stores.
