December 18-January 2		Winter Break - No School - Irving MS Building is Closed throughout the entire break
January 3 - January 7		No After School Clubs and Late Buses
Save the Date - January 5, 2022		Jersey Mike’s Grand Opening - Irving MS PTA will receive 100% of the sales!

Taking a Break during Winter Break

We will again be asking that our staff and students step away from their computers, school work, and emails so they can enjoy some downtime over Winter Break. There will be no work assigned during winter break and no tests, quizzes, or major due dates on Monday, January 3 or Tuesday, January 4, when we return from break.

Also, so that all Irving Staff may take a break, our building will be closed throughout winter break. We will reopen on Monday, January 3. We hope you have a safe and relaxing break.

Irving’s VIRTUAL Curriculum Night is January 12th - Save the date!

You are invited to learn about courses that will be offered at Irving next year at our Curriculum Night on January 12. We will offer the following programs:

6:30-7:10 - Information will be provided about Special Education and ESOL courses
7:15-7:45 - Information will be provided about 7th and 8th grade core classes (English, history, science & math)
7:50 - Information will be provided about elective classes for 7th and 8th grade students

The sessions will be recorded and posted on our website. Links to attend each of the presentations will be shared with all of our incoming 7th and 8th grade families through email on January 11th. Students are welcome to attend. Please visit our course catalog to learn more information about the classes we offer and watch videos about our electives.

It’s a popular time of year for families to introduce new devices to their homes...new phones, gaming consoles, laptops, etc. As new devices are introduced, it might be a good time to introduce, or update, family device contracts. Here is a customizable device contract to get you started! Student Laptop Care Over Winter Break

We ask that parents/guardians have a plan for ensuring student devices are in a safe place during Winter Break and that they are charged and ready to use when school reopens on January 3, 2022. Thank you!
