PSAT/NMSQT Scores Coming Soon!

  • Score reports for the October 13th PSAT/NMSQT administration are set to be released on December 6th. Please note that scores for students testing with accommodations are sometimes delayed.
  • Students will need to set up a College Board account if they haven’t already done so. Scores can be accessed by logging into the College Board Score Portal. Student’s test books can be returned upon request. Students should fill out the Google Form that was emailed to them by Mrs. Frate on November 29.
  • If students need help accessing their scores, they should reach out to their counselor or call College Board.

Winter Clothing Drive

  • Please consider signing up to support Madison students in need of winter clothing. Donations may be brought to the Madison High School Main Office from 8am-4pm through Monday, December 13th.  Sign up here to donate.  We are also supporting the Louise Archer Elementary clothing drive, so new or gently-used children’s winter clothing donations may also be dropped off in the Madison Main Office. Any questions can be directed to Bethany Slingerland at bsslingerlan@fcps.edu. Thank you, as always, for the generosity and warmth the Madison community demonstrates towards our students!

Senior Photos

  • If you missed senior portraits at Madison and would like to be included in the yearbook, you may schedule an appointment at the Lifetouch Annandale Studio location.  The studio is located at the John G. Fox Memorial Hall, 7128 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA 22003. You can schedule a studio appointment by going to prestigeportraits.com/studio. Click the blue 'Book Appointment' button to get started. You'll select the Virginia - Northern Virginia location and enter Madison High School in the search bar. Select James Madison High School when it comes up and you can select your sitting level and appointment date and time from there. Seniors photographed prior to the yearbook deadline will have their images sent to the school for inclusion in the yearbook.

Attendance Reminders

Early Check Outs:

For planned early check outs, parents and students should follow these steps:

  1. Parents: Send your student to school with a note including the following information: student’s name, time of dismissal, reason for dismissal, whether or not they will return to school, and parent signature.
  2. Students: Turn the note in to the attendance office when they arrive at school in the morning. The attendance staff will note the early check-out and give the student a pass that will allow them to leave class at the appropriate time. Students do not need to check in with the attendance office before leaving school grounds with an issued pass.

For unplanned early check outs:

  1.  If your student is feeling ill during the school day, they should go to the clinic.  The clinic will contact you to arrange dismissal if necessary.
  2. Parents should call the main office at 703-319-2300. We will transfer you to speak with someone in attendance who can run a pass for your student to leave. Please note, this process takes longer because a pass must be brought to your student’s class.

Late Arrivals:

  1. Parents should complete the online form or leave a message on the attendance line: 703-319-2319.
  2. When the student arrives at school, they must stop by the attendance office to check in.
