 Veterans Day committee members
1. From the Principal's Desk
Dear Members of the Chantilly Community:
On Thursday, November 11, Chantilly HS hosted the 2nd annual Chantilly Pyramid Celebration of Veterans. This event included student performances from CHS musical groups and our pyramid schools and a keynote address by WWII veteran Colonel Frank Cohn, followed by a reception. It was an inspiring night that showcased our students as they recognized those who risk their lives in the name of duty. To our Veterans, we salute your service and appreciate your sacrifices. We would like to thank the student run Veterans Day Committee, Kylene Zrenda, Annika Westenbroek, Arley Evans, Edie Obernberger, Megan Molloy, Eva Jaber, Ally Zrenda and Mr. Scott Settar, Chantilly Academy Administrator and Ms. Sue McCallister for planning this event.

Despite an early performance spot in finals, the MMCs shared one of their finest performances of the season and earned 7th place overall of all bands, regardless of classification. 5. Recent Student Successes
This is the next installment for the school year of what has become a weekly segment aimed at recognizing students for demonstrating recent improvement or achievement in academics, behavior or citizenship. At the end of each recognition, you will see the name of the nominating teacher or staff member. On a rotating basis, departments will nominate students. I plan to meet with recognized students each week to congratulate them in person.
