It's almost time for the Scholastic Book Fair!! We need your help! Please consider volunteering at this event by clicking on this link.  Thank you in advance!

Students will be browsing the books and creating wish lists during the school day on Friday, November 12th, Monday, November 15th, and Tuesday, November 16th. PLEASE NOTE: We must include sales tax. Students will come home with their wish lists and a sales tax conversion table.

Students will be able to purchase books during the school day on Wednesday, November 17th, Thursday, November 18th, and Friday, November 19th. We are encouraging families to sign up for the eWallet to purchase books (cash, check, and credit cards will be accepted)…But the eWallet is super easy! 😊 Please click here for information about eWallet.

We will also have two family events on Wednesday, November 17th from 4:30-6:30 and Saturday, November 20th from 9:00 am-12:00 noon.  Please click here to sign up for a time slot to come shop at the Book Fair.  Due to safety protocols, we can only allow a certain number of people in the book fair at one time. Make sure you sign up for a time to shop! No one will be able to enter the book fair if you have not signed up for a purchasing time. Thank you for your cooperation. We are looking forward to a fun, safe event.

A Loving Tribute

lfl

We are so honored to have dedicated one of our new Little Free Libraries in memory of Mrs. Nicole Sharabi at a ceremony with her close friends, family, and LCES staff last week. Mrs. Sharabi loved to inspire her students to read and we think this is the perfect way to continue spreading her love of reading throughout our community. If you come by to grab a book, you may notice a label on the inside front cover that shows you it is from her 3rd grade classroom library. Keep reading and using the Little Free Library in memory of her!

You may also notice painted rocks in our outdoor classroom. This project was inspired by the kindness Mrs. Sharabi spread to all. We hope these rocks spread joy and kindness throughout the community as well.

We have also purchased and dedicated some of her favorite books in our Lees Corner Library with the help of the Sharabi Family. If you check out one of these books, you will see a label that lets you know it was one of her favorites.

We think of Mrs. Sharabi so often here at LCES, and we hope her legacy of love and kindness towards all lives on!

Social and emotional Learning (SEL) is at the forefront of our work here at Lees Corner. Each month the clinical team (counselors, social worker and psychologist) will answer parent questions regarding students' needs in and out of the classroom. All questions are anonymous and no contact information will be collected. We ask that any urgent student or family matter be addressed directly with a member of the clinical team. Please click on the link below to access the form to submit your question.
