Attendance Form

Online Attendance Form

Do you have an early release, change in dismissal, late arrival or absence to report?

The preferred method for reporting any change in your student's school day is the Online Attendance Form located on the Crossfield website.  Scroll down to the blue ATTENDANCE box shown here and follow the prompts.  If you have a change in dismissal, select "early release" and provide an explanation in the "reason for absence".  This is the preferred method because this information is emailed to all of the front office employees.

Digital Citizenship Week - "DigCit Week"

Digital Citizenship Week is this week! We’ll be doing daily activities that promote students' well-being. Plus, they'll reflect on how they can use technology to be a positive influence in their community. Use these conversation starters to help your kids talk about their digital lives:

Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid

This week or next week you should receive a Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid.  All students are required to return the form to their child's teacher.

Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.

For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date, and return the survey to your child's school. If sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the boxes in Section 3. All forms must be signed, dated, and returned by November 5. All results are confidential

More information is available here.

Are you needing assistance with your child's picture taken on picture day?

If you are experiencing difficulties with your child's picture day order, please contact Lifetouch Customer Service at 1-800-736-4753.  Thank you.

CogAT Testing October 19-21

The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) will be administered to all second and third grade students at Crossfield October 19-21, 2021. It is important that your child attend school on these days.  The purpose of the CogAT is to provide information about students’ developed abilities in verbal, quantitative, and nonverbal reasoning. Score reports will be provided to parents once results become available. Typically, these reports are available in January. If you have any questions about this test, please contact the Advanced Academics Resource Teacher (AART), Melissa Graham (mdgraham@fcps.edu), or School Test Coordinator, Lea Fadden (ltfadden@fcps.edu), at your child's school.

Schoology Issue?

Parents: Have you tried to access an assignment or document in Schoology and it does not let you? Some assignments are linked to FCPS' Google accounts and parents do not have access to this "walled garden". If you run into this, you may need to view your child logging into Schoology and finding the document. They will be able to access it, you will not.
