Exciting news…fresh fruits and vegetables are coming to Parklawn! Our school has been selected to participate in the Fresh Fruit Vegetable Program for this school year. The goal of this program is “to create a healthier school environment by providing nutritious food choices by expanding the variety of fruits and vegetables children experience, increase fruit and vegetable consumption, and to make a difference in children’s diets to impact their present and future health.” Beginning the week of October 18th, all students will be provided a fresh fruit or vegetable snack three days each week!

Positivity Project for October 17-23: Forgiveness

P2

WHAT DOES FORGIVENESS MEAN?

You forgive those who have done wrong. You accept that people make mistakes.

Family Chat:

Why is it important to understand that everyone makes mistakes, even you?

What words can you use to apologize to someone?

What role does forgiveness play in the success of a group, or team, trying to accomplish a goal?

When was a time that you showed forgiveness in your life?

“It takes a strong person to say sorry, and an even stronger person to forgive.“

-YOLANDA HADID
