Greetings Saxons,

This week’s homecoming spirit days have certainly set the tone for this evening’s football game. We wish our varsity football team luck as they take on Wakefield HS. We look forward to seeing our students at tomorrow’s homecoming dance. If your student has yet to purchase a ticket, great news! Tickets may be purchased through MySchoolBucks until midnight tonight. Tickets will not be sold at the door and students may only purchase one ticket each.

Fabulous news to share in the world of Langley sports. A huge shout out and congratulations to our golf team that won its sixth consecutive VHSL state championship on Tuesday. We are so proud of this phenomenal group of student athletes!

We celebrate our senior field hockey players. They were honored at last evening’s game.

Great news from band! Langley marching band was named Grand Champion of the Stafford Invitational. They earned the highest score out of every band there – 1st place from almost every judge. It’s the first time in Langley history that our band has ever earned Grand Champion status. Marching Saxons, we are proud of you!

Please congratulate the following seniors who were selected by audition to participate in the 2021 Honors Choir sponsored by the Virginia Music Educators Association!  These students will attend rehearsals in Norfolk on November 18 and 19, and perform in concert on Saturday at the state conference.

I look forward to seeing everyone at tonight’s homecoming football game. It will be a beautiful evening to come out to join the festivities.

If your student(s) plans to attend, please remind them no bags, outside food or drinks may be brought into the stadium.

Thank you for your ongoing support of our school and students. It makes all of the difference!

Hail Saxons!
