Hello Justice HS Students, Families, and Community Members: head shot

Homecoming week was hands down AMAZING!!  The high energy and undeniable spirit of the school community shined throughout the entire week and I couldn’t be prouder.  I’d like to give a special shout-out and thanks to Mrs. Buffenbarger and the SGA leadership students for the planning, preparation, and execution of a well-organized week of events.  Congratulations to our varsity football team for the homecoming victory over Hayfield. And last, but certainly not least, many thanks to the countless volunteers who supported our efforts and assisted in a variety of roles all week long.  The week was closed out with our homecoming dance on Saturday night, which was overwhelmingly successful, and we couldn’t have pulled it off without everyone’s support.

Today, October 11th is also Indigenous People's Day, which was first proposed during a United Nations conference in 1977 when members of the community reported facing discrimination. It was instituted in Berkeley, California in 1992 and has continue to grow in popularity over the years. The diversity and inclusion in our school community is such a beautiful thing for our students, parents, and staff!

Wednesday, October 13th, is PSAT/SAT Day and a two hour early release. Students in grade 9 or Seniors who did not sign up to take the SAT will have an asynchronous day. They should use this time to work on any outstanding assignments. See detailed information below.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions.

Digital Resource Consent

At Justice High School, our teachers will use a variety of powerful digital resources to support student learning and promote communication and collaboration with students and families. Some of the digital resources your child may use this year will require your consent before they can be used. Without consent, teachers will need to plan additional lessons or deviate from a useful application altogether. You can find our school’s list of the resources here: https://justicehs.fcps.edu/adopteddigitalresources

Please follow this link to indicate whether or not your student is allowed to use the list of digital resources this year. This page also provides more information about how FCPS carefully reviews digital resources for approval.
