Administrators' Avenue

Dear Fairhill Family-

We hope that you all had a wonderful long weekend and had time to enjoy family, enjoy the beautiful fall weather, and take a moment to recognize Indigenous Peoples’ Day. We are looking forward to a wonderful week ahead at Fairhill.

Yesterday many of our teachers started parent teachers conferences for the year. We believe that these conferences are a vital tool to deepening our parent and teacher relationships and the schools connection to the community. Please be on the lookout for an email or sign up from your child’s teacher about a conference in the next few weeks. We hope to have 100% participation in parent teacher conferences.

Finally, a gentle reminder that this Thursday is our Town Hall / PTA Meeting. The Town Hall will be led by our Mental Health team and will start at 5:30 PM followed directly by our PTA Meeting on the same link at 6:30 PM. A ZOOM link will be sent on Thursday to families for access. We hope to see you there.

All our best,

Ted & Courtney

Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid

Beginning on October 13, FCPS will be asking all families to fill out a Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid.

This survey will be sent home with each student tomorrow, October 13th. It is important for you to fill out and return the form for every FCPS student in your household.

Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.

For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date, and return the survey to your child's teacher. If sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the boxes in Section 3. All forms must be signed, dated, and returned as soon as possible. All results are confidential

Please click here for more information.
