Dear Whitman Community,
There is a definite feel of autumn in the air! Please save the date of October 21 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM for the PTSA Fall Festival! It is loads of fun for the whole family!
The Virginia Growth Assessment (VGA) for mathematics will take place next week with most students testing on Tuesday, October 5. Please encourage your student to do their very best so teachers can understand what students know and what they just don’t know yet!
This week the Whitman After School Program began, Monday - Thursday! The After School Program provides an environment where creativity, enrichment, and inspiration thrive. Here students challenge themselves and work outside their comfort zone to reach their full potential. Students become explorers, scientists, leaders, athletes, and volunteers in the community. Within a structure unique to each school, every program promotes social engagement, quality connections, persistence, and resiliency.
