homecoming

Good Morning Parents and Families:

We had an eventful week as students engaged in continued meaningful learning experiences throughout their school days. During Panther Block this week, students and staff were introduced and in some cases re-introduced to our school-wide read of New Kid. I had an opportunity to connect with Mrs. Powell’s 4th period class. I was extremely impressed with the class discussion around what students expect when they come to Stone and how we can continue to make this school a better place. These 7th graders were wonderful!

You can read more below about our first speaker series, which took place on Thursday where we welcomed NFL great, Mr. Charles Mann. His words of wisdom were inspiring for students and staff alike and aligned nicely to our Stone MS expectations of kindness, honesty and respect.

I was reminded several times this week of the many amazing things our students and staff do each day. I thank you for your continued support and partnership as we enter week six of this 2021-2022 school year. Continue to check in with your children and remind them of the importance of following the school-wide expectations.

We closed out the week with Black/Gold Day and hosting the Westfield High School Homecoming parade. There was a lot of school spirit for our Future Bulldogs in the hallways. It was great to have our students, staff and families back together for this community celebration. Our Stone Panther leaders & Westfield SGA did an excellent job coordinating and executing this event on a gorgeous Fall afternoon.

Enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend,
Meredith Norris, Principal
