School Calendar Update: October 11

Monday, October 11 is Indigenous Peoples’ Day.  Indigenous Peoples' Day honors the histories, cultures, and contributions of Native peoples, past and present.

There is no school for students on this day. Teachers will be participating in a school planning day and professional development.

Positivity Project for October 4-10: Other People Mindset: Being Present

P2

When you model the Other People Mindset of Being Present, you give your full attention when you’re with people. Some great questions to think about in your family discussions are:

What does it mean to be present?

What does it look like and sound like to be present?

How does being present model the Other People Mindset?

What a great time for families to model putting aside devices and sharing time together!

“Nothing is more precious than being in the present moment. Fully alive. Fully Aware.”  - Thich Nhat Hanh
