FH Weekly Update - 9/19/21

p1

Dear Freedom Hill Community,

It was another great week on "The Hill!". Our students have established routines thanks to their own hard work as well as the encouragement of our teachers and staff. They have been doing a wonderful job boarding and dismissing from buses, completing fire and other emergency drills, utilizing safe behaviors in the cafeteria, and wearing their masks each day.

We wanted to make you aware of a change in COVID notification. If we have a positive COVID case at FH, we've been asked to notify the community on Fridays via email through the eNotify system. We will continue to contact families directly if their child has been identified as a potential close contact to a positive COVID case.

Finally, with cool weather we hope to begin outdoor lunch this week. Finalized grade-level schedules will be sent to you before we begin. We will begin with one grade level per lunch as we learn routines and build confidence with seating and distancing. We are asking for community support in two areas:

  • If you are able to volunteer an hour of your time on a specific day, please use this SignUpGenius to join us as an outdoor chaperone. We are hoping to have a volunteer for each time slot.
  • We had a generous community partner donate outdoor tables for us, but we'd love to have some additional seating. Please let us know if you are willing to donate or lend outdoor tables/chairs to our students.

Thank you to everyone who attended our first PTA meeting this week! We look forward to seeing you soon.

In partnership,

Nicholas Zapadka, Principal

Eric Kopacz, Assistant Principal

  • Working together will make us more successful and productive.
  • We would love for you to join us!
  • It is more important that WE are successful than it is that I am successful.
