Forestville Friday Updates!!!

Meet Our Newest Cardinal

Pam Ficker Photo

Hello, fellow Forestville Cardinals! My name is Pamela Ficker and I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining you all as the new Preschool Autism Classroom (PAC) teacher!

A little bit about me: I'm originally from Massachusetts but have lived in northern Virginia for the past 15 years. I graduated from Binghamton University with a degree in psychology and began a Master’s program with Florida Tech to study applied behavior analysis. However, after 4 years of providing behavioral services to families with children of all ages, I decided to make the switch to teaching so I could focus more on my passion for early childhood education.

I am most excited about helping my students to develop the foundational skills that will set them on the path for success. Specifically, I am passionate about teaching communication skills and discovering functional alternatives for problem behavior.  I am a firm believer in individualized education and teaching students the way they learn.

In my free time I like to read, craft, and cuddle with my cat (his name is Prince Harry....he's royal and he knows it). I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and being a part of the Forestville team!

Welcome to the Forestville Family Pam!
