Information for Parents

COVID Testing

Students may be required to complete COVID testing and provide a negative test result before returning to school after an absence. Testing information is located at Coronavirus (COVID-19) Testing on the Fairfax County Government website. Families can call the call center for assistance 703-324-7404, Monday-Friday, 9am-7pm.

COVID-19 testing sites are available in Fairfax and the surrounding jurisdictions. Free testing is available at Fairfax County Health Department offices or at the Federally Qualified Heath Centers (FQHCs). Find a testing site in the Fairfax Health District via this document in English or Spanish or search for a testing site in Virginia near you. Note: this may not include every site currently offering testing in Fairfax Health District and testing may be offered for a cost.

Student Laptops

Students in Grades 3-6 will be bringing their laptops to and from school each day. Students should keep the chargers at home. Please remind students to charge their laptop every night so it is ready for school the following day. Laptops should also be shut down when not in use. Your encouragement and support is much appreciated.

Students in Grades K-2 have assigned laptops that they will keep at school. If your student is paused by FCPS or Mosaic for COVID concerns, you can request to pick up the student's laptop so they can access Schoology and asynchronous assignments. Please email the student's teacher and they will leave it in the office to be picked up.
