Glasgow Community Gazette - September 6

Glasgow Community:

Week two is behind us and we are moving into week three! For me it was a special week because my son had his first day of kindergarten and it was a blessing to hear all about it each day! It’s been a pleasure to continue building relationships with our students and getting to know their hopes and dreams, as well.

Students continue to be vigilant with following the mask mandates and our staff will continue to remind students about our mask and mitigation strategies.  As a reminder, after careful thought and consultation with our team, we have decided to move our Back to School Night to Monday, September 13th, 2021. We will work with our staff and team to develop a virtual BTSN. Teachers and staff have introductory videos and presentations with their important course information that you currently have access to view. You may at any time reach out directly to teachers with questions.

Arrival, dismissal, and lunch has steadily improved, and we will continue to adjust as needed to support teaching and learning in the safest way possible. As a reminder, the anniversary of September 11th is next weekend. In the coming week we will be acknowledging this anniversary through a special moment of silence and meaningful activities.

Thank you all for your continued support and I hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend. Also, continue to reach out to me if you are interested in a home visit from myself. Thank you for all that you do for our community that is seen and unseen!
