Greetings Saxons,

I hope this week has been a good one for everyone. Staff continue to work to build positive relationships with students and work to ensure success for all. As we are adjusting to the full return to in-person learning, parents and guardians I thank you for being active partners in our work of educating our students. As often stated, “It takes a village to raise a child.”  This proverb is exemplified by our school community.

As you can imagine, having a building and grounds which are shared by over two thousand people require us to work together in order to maintain optimal school operations. I ask for the help of parents/guardians as the administrative team works to meet the needs of everyone. I need your assistance with the following:

Safety

  • Please remind your student(s) that masks must be worn over the nose and mouth when inside of the school building and on the bus unless actively eating or drinking

Water

  • Because only water refill stations are available in the building (due to Covid), students should bring a water bottle daily
  • Please add money to your students’ My School Bucks account so bottled water may be purchased if your student forgets to bring a water bottle

Kiss and Ride

  • The Langley Oaks Development is not to be used for student drop off and/or pickup
  • Parking spaces in the school lot are not to be used for student drop-off/pickup

Good News to Share

  • Afternoon buses are now departing by 3:25 p.m. daily
  • Kiss and Ride is concluding by 3:30 p.m. daily

I greatly appreciate your partnership, support and understanding. They are greatly appreciated. I wish each of you and your families a restful and safe holiday weekend.

Hail Saxons!
